Meet Dani
Welcome! I hope I have the pleasure of meeting you. Until then, here is a bit about me:
I began my educational journey to becoming an Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor in 2014, inspired as a high school student to combine my two passions: visual art and helping others. I attended Messiah College receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art and Psychology, furthering my education at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where I completed my Master of Arts in Counseling with a concentration in Art Therapy.
I imagined completing my education and post-grad experience would mean I had “arrived” at my “professional destination;” what I found is that it was only another waypoint.
Over the past several years in private practice, my passion for helping people in creative ways became a calling to literally walk beside people by stepping outside of the confines and comfort of an office space and into the boundless and ever-teaching expanse of nature. I personally experienced significant transformation in my confidence and courage through supported adventures outside, be it trail running, camping, or hiking in our national parks. I founded Waypoint in order to provide similar experiences to all the people I have the honor of working with.
In May of 2024, I relocated from Pennsylvania to Leadville, CO. I am licensed in both states as a Licensed Professional Counselor and am a Registered Board-Certified Art Therapist. I also met my husband, Devin, and our sweet doggie Bonnie here in the tiny town of Leadville. God is good!
