Meet Dani

Welcome! This is me - fully reveling in the beauty of the outdoors with some great company - hair in my face, finding joy in what’s genuine! Thanks for joining me here.

I began my educational journey to becoming an Art Therapist and Mental Health Counselor in 2014, inspired as a high school student to combine my two passions: visual art and helping others. I attended Messiah College receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art and Psychology, furthering my education in 2018 at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where I completed my Master of Arts in Counseling with a concentration in Art Therapy.

I imagined completing my education and post-grad experience would mean I had “arrived” at my “professional destination;” what I found is that it was only a waypoint.

Over the past several years in private practice, my passion for helping people in creative ways became a calling to literally walk beside people by stepping outside of the confines and comfort of an office space and into the boundless and ever-teaching expanse of nature. I personally experienced significant transformation in my confidence and courage through supported adventures outside, be it trail running, camping, or hiking in our national parks.

I developed Waypoint Partnerships as a response to these experiences - a practical integration of powerful therapeutic tools and techniques that nature enhances: vulnerability, movement, critical listening, gratitude, attunement, alignment, and authenticity.
